The 4 Skills Areas

of Experiential Education

Though the college maintains it's own official definition of the skills areas, i thought it a good idea to enumerate some of the experiences i've had that i feel contribute to these areas within myself. In no particular order, they are:

Written Expression

• Participation in the ATYP writing program at Kalamazoo College
• Participation in Terpsichorean Poetry Forum at Gull Lake High School
• AP English with score of 5 on the AP test
• Completion of "Introduction to Creative Writing" and "Intermediate Poetry" with Diane Seuss-Brakeman

Oral Expression

• Participation in MIFA Forensics during freshman year of high school
• Part of acting ensemble for Gull Lake High School's production of Gluestick
• "Dromio of Syracuse" in Michigan Shakespeare Festival production of A Comedy Of Errors
• "Joshua" and "Jerry" in Kalamazoo College production of Cloud 9
• Played the role of the Priest in Kalamazoo's production of Joan

Quantitative Reasoning

• Completion of Vector Calculus with Eric Barth

Computer Literacy

• Ongoing revision and updating of the Kalamazoo College website
• Pursuit of a Computer Science major
