Thanks for visiting my webspace. I've divided this site into
three sections for easier viewing. This first section, Rob@Work,
describes my professional skills and experiences. The other sections,
Rob@Home and Rob@School,
describe (respectively) some of my "off duty" occupations and
academic efforts. Expect major revisions after June 2001; that's when
I'll finally complete my undergraduate degree and enter the workforce
full time!

I'm currently an eCommerce programmer at netladder.com,
an internet and corporate image consulting firm in my
hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Building on my experience
from last summer at P&U, I'm coding extensively in
SQL and several scripting languages. I'm also
responsible for database design on our client sites,
which is a great experience.

In the summer of 1999, I worked in the Unix division of
Pharmacia &
Upjohn's (now Pharmacia) IT department. I was responsible for collecting
performance data on a number of production servers, but my
primary project was building a dynamic server information site.
To get this done, I learned VBScript and a little SQL, as well
as getting a feel for how to interact with Oracle databases.

In the summers of 1997 and 1998, I was an intern with I/Net Inc. My primary projects were
creating a customer support
site that's is still used, and assisting in a port of the
Netscape FastTrack web server to the AS/400 platform...
