What is this leading up to? Well, I love writing or i wouldn't major in this barren field. I have years of expository writing experience; i've been doing it with amazing consistancy since 8th grade. With all of my term papers, etc, I don't have any doubt that i will continue to write expositions, and good ones at that. So i want more creative experience.
Also, i have spent a great deal of time reading Old books - the kind that you find well-used in the library, or for 50 cents at the nearest used bookstore. These books have always served me well, but they never change. The contemporary scene is always on the move, though, and i love the challenge of new material. so i want to dive right into that, too. no more old farty 15th century for me, boy. well, okay, some, but not JUST that, which is what i've always felt was going on, and i'm sick of it.
