BIGGEST TIP: Start early and ask for help when
you are stuck!!! Programming is an experimental process and rarely do
programs work on the first try. If you start early you will have
plenty of time to see your instructor or the TAs to ask questions.
The TA's office hours the night before the project is due are often
crowded. Help yourself (and the TAs) by showing up for help earlier
in the week.
If your program doesn't seem to be doing everything that you
expect it to do, remember to check the Debugging Panel of your browser.
Notice that only certain types of errors will be listed - if no errors are
listed, it means that JavaScript can run your program, but it doesn't mean
that the program does what you want it to!
Web pages should be usable and visually appealing. You should
provide directions, appropriate graphics, labels for text fields,
and other explanatory material, as necessary.
