Hello everyone! I'm very excited to meet all of you in person this quarter! I look forward to exploring image and sound manipulation through programming, and learning some Python with you this quarter. My interests are in Computer Science education, applications of computing in science, as well as Computational Number Theory.

COMP 103 - Python Programming Basics
in a Multimedia Context, Spring 2023
A new quarter begins and new knowledge awaits!
Welcome to Python Programming in a Multimedia Context (COMP
103).
This half-unit course introduces algorithmic problem solving
and basic computer programming in the context of creating
and manipulating pictures, sound, and animations.

Computing is like solving puzzles. Sometimes everything falls nicely into place, but sometimes you get stuck. Then you try a few things, step back and try to look at the puzzle from a new angle, or take a break. The same thing happens with computing. Give yourself time to experiment, to get stuck, to ask questions, and to experience the satisfaction of a well-solved puzzle!
We have an awesome group of TAs at the online CS Collaboration Center where you can go and ask any questions you have. And, of course, my office hours are available to you. Check my weekly schedule and please stop by; we can talk about the things you don't understand, the things you do, and other related (or unrelated) topics.
One last thing:
